Tips For Enjoying Your Coffee @ Home

Updated: Jan 28, 2019

While we often are getting coffee on the go, enjoying a cup of home brewed coffee can be just as good by following these easy to follow tips.

Buy in Small Batches

Enjoying your coffee at home begins before you even get the beans in the door. Buying in small batches ensures freshness, while you can store coffee in an airtight container for up to 4 weeks. It is always better to buy only the coffee that you will be using for the next 1-2 weeks. By the way, we can ensure fresh coffee is delivered to your door every week with our coffee subscriptions. As my mom always says, "Quality over quantity."

The Daily Grind

While this phrase usually refers to work it should also refer to how often you are grinding your coffee beans. Coffee begins to lose its freshness just 10 minutes after ground, so grinding your beans just before brewing is the best practice.

Which Brew Is Up To You

Here at Caffé D'arte we all have our preferences for how we enjoy our coffee, and the great thing is there is no wrong way. Whether you enjoy a straight shot of espresso, a warm pot dripping in the morning, or enjoy the slowed down process of a french press or pour over is fine with us.

Thanks for the coffee tips! I always struggle with keeping my coffee fresh at home. I'll definitely start buying in small batches and grinding my beans just before brewing at my location now
